When I walk around Chinatown, I can’t help but think of what life must have been like in the late 1800’s when Chinatown was getting established. I wonder what my grandfather felt when he arrived in America in 1905. Resources available to him, merchant opportunities and contacts he would make to help bring more of his family to America. These brave immigrants were willing to work hard to build a life and future for their families and future generations.
Many descendants of the early immigrants are 3rd and 4th generation business owners in the Greater Seattle Chinese Community. The Seattle Chinese American Chamber of Commerce is looking to bridge legacy, culture, and tradition to a new world of high-tech and social media.
Our goal is to bring together business opportunities with all local and International Chambers with a motto of “Community Unity”.
The volunteers of the New Seattle Chinese American Chamber of Commerce all share the vision of professional business development, building strong relationships and community development.
Please join us on our journey of community, business and building new and lasting friendships. We look forward to meeting new members soon!
Best Regards,
David F. Leong, President
